Selena Spills "Wizards" Season 4 Secrets

Did you guys catch the season premiere of "Wizards of Waverly Place" last night? If you didn't, Alex and Justin were demoted to Level 1 in the family wizardry competition for exposing (or attempting to expose) magic to humans. Meanwhile, Max is still at Level 3!

This is a welcomed change, as it seems like this season will have a more serialized tone to it, with the episodes building off one another instead of being individual storylines.

Check out Selena Gomez as she discusses more surprises in store for the rest of the fourth season!

Disney Channel Stars Slipping Behind in TCA

• Choice Movie: Animated: Toy Story 3
• Choice Television: Male TV Comedy Star: Jonas Brothers, "JONAS"

WOWP News: Max Gets a Love Interest!

Jake T. Austin had an interesting tidbit to share about the upcoming fourth season of "Wizards of Waverly Place". His character, Max, will be getting a love interest. Jake explains:

I think my character has a love interest coming up. I think a new girl. Someone new to the game. I definitely want a new girl, with raw talent, that would be cool. Well, I’d love Bar Rafaeli or Adriana Lima but I mean that’s shooting for the stars.

You know what they say, Jake! Shoot for the stars and you just might land among them!

Are you excited by this news? We're hoping it will be a long-term love interest and not just a one-episode situation.

Selena Gomez Announces That the Fourth Season of "Wizards" Will Be the Last

Well, we kind of figured as much!

Selena Gomez recently confirmed that the fourth season of "Wizards of Waverly Place", which has yet to begin filming, will be the last.

"I'm really heartbroken about [it...] That's gonna be a terrible time for me," she confesses.

But fret not! Selena also confirms that a second "Wizards" film is in the works. Still no word if it'll be a DCOM or be in theaters, but we, like you, are hoping for the latter!

3 Disney Shows Score Emmy Nominations

Wow! The Primetime Emmy Award nominations were announced this morning and three Disney Channel shows are nominated for Outstanding Children's Programing, as well as one of Disney Channel's original movies!

"JONAS", "Hannah Montana", "Wizards of Waverly Place", and Wizards of Waverly Place: the Movie are all up for the category, with their only other competition being "iCarly".

"Wizards" has so got this in the bag!

Good luck to all contenders (yes, even "iCarly"...)!

"Wizards" Continues Its Magic

Some wanted a fourth season, others wanted a second film.

Well you're getting both!

Disney Channel has just announced that "Wizards of Waverly Place" will have a fourth season as well as a second film. No word on whether the film will premiere on Disney Channel or if it will be released in theaters, but we know the show's producers want the sequel to hit the big screen.

Can't wait! Long live Selena Gomez!

Selena Gomez is Disney's Top-Earning Television Star

It's no secret that Miley Cyrus is worth a billion, but many of you probably don't realize that she isn't Disney Channel's highest-paid actress. Most of her money comes from her music and the "Hannah Montana" franchise, but not her per-episode salary from the series. Selena Gomez makes more than Miley on "Wizards of Waverly Place", according to new reports. Hell, even the Sprouse twins make more than her! Here is a complete list of the highest-paid child actors on television and their per-episode salaries:

1. Angus T. Jone (16, "Two and a Half Men) - $250,000
2. Miranda Cosgrove (16, "iCarly") - $180,000
3. Selena Gomez (17, "Wizards of Waverly Place") - $25,000
4. Dylan and Cole Sprouse (17, "The Suite Life on Deck") - $20,000 each
5. Keke Palmer (16, "True Jackson") - $20,000
6. Miley Cyrus (17, "Hannah Montana") - $15,000
7. Rico Rodriguez (11, "Modern Family") - $15,000
8. Demi Lovato (17, "Sonny With a Chance") - $12,000
9. Victoria Justice (17, "Victorious") - $12,000
10. Atticus Shaffer (11, "The Middle") - $12,000

And, for an added fun fact: Ashley Tisdale only made about $9,000 per episode while on "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" while the Sprouse twins earned $12,000 - $15,000 each. Not cool!

How is Miranda Cosgrove getting paid so much? We knew her show was successful, but it certainly hasn't earned as much attention as Disney's shows.

Quote Of The Day

"It was an awesome process. I’ve wanted to write for the longest time…I’ve always been writing on the side since I’ve been an actor, like skits and webseries. I got to sit in the writer’s room for eight weeks. I would go rehearse and then go sit with the writers; pitching stories and jokes. Then I got my episode called 'Alex's Logo'. I was the youngest writer in the room so I got to throw my 20-year-old perspective in the script. There’s a lot of things that kids will be able to relate to. I got to put some fun things in there like ‘the Jerk’ type of things. It was an amazing time."

- David Henrie on writing an episode of "Wizards Of Waverly Place", which will premiere on Friday, May 21 at 8pm

Selena Gomez Lights Up the KCA Orange Carpet

Selena Gomez looked absolutely radiant on the orange carpet of the Kids' Choice Awards. The Disney starlet took home the award for Favorite Television Actress for her role as Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place. Congrats on the big win! You deserve it!

Selena's Audition Tape!

It's common knowledge that Selena Gomez was auditioning for Disney Channel for quite some time before she landed the lead role in "Wizards of Waverly Place". The audition tape below shows an eleven-year-old Selena reading lines from an episode of "That's So Raven". (She's reading Raven's lines, so she obviously wasn't auditioning for a role in the episode. We don't know what she was auditioning for though).

Shakira To Guest Star on Wizards

Worldwide singing sensation Shakira will be making her Disney Channel debut soon on "Wizards of Waverly Place". She will be playing herself, in a sense. The Russos' Uncle Kelbo creates her using magic. Watch the interview above to see how Shakira handled being on set and what she thinks of Selena Gomez!

Selena Gomez Works Her Magic

While promoting her new album Kiss & Tell, Selena Gomez stopped by the "Today" show. She talked about her music, "Wizards of Waverly Place" and its film adaptation, and her ambassador duties for Unicef.

WOWP Cast Reacts To Emmy Win

"Wizards Of Waverly Place" won its first Emmy this weekend for Outstanding Children's Programming. And thanks to the magic of Twitter, we know what the stars think of it!

• Jennifer Stone: "Holy crap! Wizards is now officially an Emmy Award Winning Show!!!!"

David Henrie Accepts Fan Proposal

On Sunday afternoon (September 13), David Henrie jokingly accepted a marriage proposal from a fan while he and the "Wizards Of Waverly Place" cast held a meet-and-greet at the Disney D23 Expo.

WOW!

Selena Gomez looked phenomenal at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards last night (September 12). She and the cast and crew of "Wizards of Waverly Place" beat out "Hannah Montana" and "iCarly" for Outstanding Children's Programming at the awards show. Congrats!

Wizards Of Waverly Place Takes The Gold

Selena Gomez and the cast of "Wizards Of Waverly Place" were very excited, to say the least, after the show won Outstanding Children's Programming at the 2009 Creative Arts Emmys last night (September 12).

"Wizards" beat out Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and fellow Disney show "Hannah Montana" for the prize. Totally fine with us, since we love the show!

Most Annoying Disney Channel In-Bred Guest Star EVER

Disney is known for having its stars guest star on one another's shows. Well this is one match-up that we will NOT tolerate.

"Hannah Montana"'s Moises Arias will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place". As if he's not already annoyingly unpleasant to watch as Rico, but now we have to see him in another show!

Disney should be ashamed! This episode, if anyone cares, airs October 30.

Wizards Of Waverly Place: Season Three Sneak-Peak

During last night's (August 30) encore presentation of Wizards of Waverly Place: the Movie, the cast showed three new scenes from the upcoming season of the show. None of them are particularly funny, but we did enjoy the third one involving Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone. Enjoy the video below, but beware of mild spoilers!

"Wizards of Waverly Place" is expected to return on September 25... Well, those are the rumors. We'll let you know when there's an official date.
