Remember a while ago when we told you how Zac Efron was being considered for a role in New Year's Eve, the sequel to the 2010 megahit Valentine's Day?
Well he's officially signed on!
Most of Zac's scenes will also feature Michelle Pfeiffer, who starred with Zac in Hairspray. "Yeah, not a bad co-star," he commented. "It’s got a great cast."
Here's more on the film:
- It's not technically a sequel. While it originally was proposed as a follow-up to Valentine's Day, the film will stand on its own. However, both films were written by Katherine Fugate with Garry Marshall directing.
- Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Biel are the only actors announced to be returning for the film. However, since it's not a sequel, they will be playing different characters.
- Other cast members include Robert De Niro, Lea Michele, Hilary Swank, Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vergara, Sarah Jessica Parker, Frankie Muniz, and Sara Paxton.
New Year's Eve hits theaters on December 9.
