The Disney Channel Games 2008

We're excited for the Disney Channel Games 2008. They should start filming later this month and begin airing in mid-June. Though no teams have been announced, here's what we know.

• Selena Gomez has confirmed she will be making her first appearance.


• Footage of Miley Cyrus rehearsing for a performance at the games is on the Internet.


• As the entire cast of High School Musical is busy in Utah filming Senior Year.


• Michael Seater and Ashley Leggat, stars of Life With Derek, tried to participate in last year's games, but couldn't get work visas (they're from Canada) - maybe they'll be able to this year.


• Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers are likely to perform and participate in the games, as Camp Rock premieres in June.


• The Cheetah Girls will more likely than not be in the games.


• No news if any foreign Disney Channel stars will once again join the teams, but we guess that not having the foreign stars would be a step down.

We really hope an announcement for the teams comes soon!
