What's New For Disney Channel?

Besides the High School Musical and "Hannah Montana" news we hear so often, there are a lot of other things going on for Disney Channel.

The Jonas Brothers continue their domination with a short-segment reality series that will begin airing this spring, a new Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, which will air this June, and a new scripted series, "J.O.N.A.S!".

The Cheetah Girls' third movie, The Cheetah Girls One World, will air this August. Sadly, as most of you know, Raven will not reprise her role for the third installment of the series.

"Wizards of Waverly Place" star Selena Gomez will appear in an upcoming, untitled Disney Channel Original Movie alongside Demi Lovato (Camp Rock, "As the Bell Rings").

Also, recently confirmed to be filming is Hatching Pete, a new Disney Channel Original Movie starring Mitchel Musso ("Hannah Montana") and Jason Dolley ("Cory in the House"). Filming is currently taking place in Salt Lake City, not too far from the location of East High as we hear.

And let us not forget, the spin-off show of the series that made Ashley Tisdale so popular in the first place... "The Suite Life on Deck" is a new Disney Channel Original Series that is currently in the casting process. The series takes the characters from "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and puts them on a Tipton Cruise ship. Tisdale, however, is a no show.
