If you liked High School Musical 3: Senior Year, then you'll probably like this!
According to reports, Disney has greenlit a new comedy film about a group of high school students preparing for their prom. The film will be entitled Prom (as Sharpay would say, "genius") and will be in theaters.
The script is currently being written by Katie Wech and is, as of yet, not a musical. However, Disney is keeping all options open until the script is completed. The Mouse House hopes to cast unknowns in the nine lead roles. As you'll recall, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and the other HSM cast members were all unknowns before the successful film franchise.
So what do you think? Good idea or bad? We don't really have an opinion as of yet but we're certainly reminded of how much we love the HSM movies and now we want to watch them!

This sounds like a really good idea too me!! Who doesn't like PROM! And the fact that they want to cast unknowns as the leading roles is even better! This gives me ad a lot of people a chance to audition for something really cool!! I cant wait! Even if I don't get a part I still get to watch it!
