With the upcoming film The Princess and the Frog, the Disney Princess line is rapidly expanding. Well, now there's another classic fairy tale coming to life in Disney animation.
You probably have already heard, but Rapunzel is one of Disney's upcoming hits. Set for a Holiday 2010 release, the film will focus on Rapunzel escaping her life-long captor with a bandit.
The princess, famous for her long golden locks, will be voiced by Mandy Moore, according to some reports. Her "prince" will be voiced by Zachary Levi.
The film is likely to be amazing, especially since Alan Menken is composing the music, as he did for other features like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
We're seriously SO excited about this! It's nice to see Disney getting back into the style of films - 2D animation, musicals - that created the classics!
