The Academy is currently busy working on narrowing down each category for the 81st Annual Academy Awards (the nominations will be announced on January 22 with the Awards being held on February 22). Eleven songs from High School Musical 3: Senior Year are being considered for the nomination, and it's hard to believe that none of the songs will get nominated. Whether or not they win is a totally different matter. Here are the songs being considered:

- Just Getting Started
- Just Wanna Be With You
- A Night to Remember
- Now or Never
- Right Here, Right Now
- Scream
- Walk Away
