Zac Wants a Challenge

Zac Efron may have skyrocketed to fame via High School Musical 3: Senior Year, but the role of Troy Bolton isn't as challenging as he'd like.

"Lately, I'm leaning toward more challenging roles. Hopefully I can find something surprising," he admits.

Zac even revealed that he's leaning toward independent films! "I would be perfectly willing to make an independent film as long as I believed in the project."

And could Broadway be next for the Hairspray star? "Broadway would be an adventure. It requires a skill set that I'd have to rediscover. There is nothing like the thrill of performing for a live audience."
