More News on Ashley and Corbin's Second Albums

MTV's

As you most likely know, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu are both working on their sophomore albums.

Ashley, whose album is due out in February - and we can't wait! - says she's "...been recording and co-writing. The single should be coming out soon, but I feel it's pretty much 80 percent done. And, yeah, I'm excited about it. It's a lot more rock and edgier." Sounds great!

Corbin shared little about his album except that he's been "writing, working with some good people like Eric Hudson and Brian Kennedy."

Vanessa Hudgens also commented on her second album, Identified, which was released this summer. "I just released my second album, which was a lot of fun, 'cause I got to play with my sound. And it was just interesting to kind of grow up for the second album."

It's safe to say that Zac Efron won't be in the recording studio anytime soon. Monique Coleman also has no urge to go into the music business. "Oh no, I don't have any particular singing aspirations," she said. "It's exciting to be in this movie, because it has inspired so many kids to get out there and promote music."

And - believe it or not - Justin Martin is also working on his first album. "...That'd be amazing to have someone like Lil Wayne on it," he admits. "I'm also working with a couple of different record labels and a lot of different producers. My music is R&B, hip-hop, kind of pop-crossover."

It's official, High School Musical does wonderful things for a career. But we have to wonder, what are Lucas Grabeel's plans with music?
