Now, yesterday, we were watching "E! News" and we don't remember the exact quote and we can't find it online, so you'll just have to trust off. When Ryan Seacrest asked Vanessa Hudgens if there was a High School Musical 4, she said something along the line of "I think so, but I'm not sure if any of us will partake in it."
Not sure? A couple of months ago, she seemed pretty sure that she didn't want anything to do with it!
And today, The PopCrunch is reporting that Disney is prepared to offer Zac Efron and Vanessa a huge payday for High School Musical 4: The College Years. In the proposed movie, Troy and Gabriella would reunite at East High after missing one another during their freshman year at different universities. At East High, they would reminisce about past good times. These flashbacks would be help keep a small budget.
Wow. That sounds totally stupid. First of all, how would they make that into a musical? Second of all, if we have to see new footage of Vanessa Hudgens, we want new footage of Ashley Tisdale! Third of all, we were finally warming up the idea of seeing those three new kids in starring positions for the rest of the High School Musical movies! What happened to that idea?
The truth is, this idea for College Years would be better for a TV movie reunion special with the whole cast five years down the road. Let's get some fresh faces!
