Zac Turned Down 6-Figure Deal
Way back when High School Musical first made it big (it was around March 2006), Disney, as well as other studios asked the main actors to sign for a record deal. Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu signed on with Hollywood Records, owned by Disney. Ashley Tisdale turned down the offer and went with Warner Brothers instead. As far as we know, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman were not offered any contract (although Lucas probably was but turned it down).
Well, Zac Efron was offer a six-figure deal but turned it down, according to Jesse McCartney in In Touch magazine. "...I think it was noble of him to turn it down," he says. "He knows he's not a singer, he's an actor."
How well do you think Zac Efron's CD would have done if he signed the contract? Do you think Zac is a good enough singer to have his own album?
