How Dare They!!

Many sources from Disney are confident that Camp Rock will be as big, if not bigger, than High School Musical.

How ridiculous! For us, Camp Rock seems horrible. We like the Jonas Brothers but the commercials don't do a good job of flattering it. Of course, we'll still watch the movie and hope it does well, but not as well as High School Musical!

The movie is premiering on Disney Channel, ABC, AND ABC Family all in the same weekend. Books, calendars, and DVD release dates have already been announced. A cruise ship adaption of the film and a sequel are already in the works. (May we just remind you that the movie won't premiere until two months from Sunday!?). If this movie does well, it'll be because Disney is making it do well. It won't have an "honest" (not the best word to use) audience like High School Musical had.

How dare Camp Rock try to upstage High School Musical! Still, they can beat High School Musical ratings-wise, but it will be hard to get more than the 17.24 million people who tuned in for High School Musical 2.

Our last poll indicated that 16% of our readers are more excited for Camp Rock while 77% would rather see High School Musical 3: Senior Year. That's fine, but which do you actually think would do better? (Hmm... this gives us an idea for next week's poll).
