That's right. You read it correctly. High School Musical 4 and 5 are very possible. How?
A few months after the original High School Musical made it big, both Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens mentioned that the movie was part of a planned trilogy. So far, we've gotten that trilogy. However, the girls went on to say that four or five movies were possible.
With all this new talent rumored to be appearing in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, is it possible that after the six main characters in the first three movies graduate, a new generation will take over for the next two movies?
That's quite a possibility after reading the two articles we've uncovered. This article has the writer of the first three movies, Peter Barsocchini, giving word on the fourth and fifth films. Then again, this article was published back when Haunted High School Musical was the title for the third movie. And this article quotes Kenny Ortega as saying "this franchise may move to another generation!"
Hmm... This is certainly risky. While many of the younger fans may go crazy over a fourth or fifth film, the older fans may not be convinced to see it for two reasons: the franchise is growing old and the famous cast members will be gone. There are already fans upset with the fact that there was even a second film. What are they going to do when the fifth one comes out?
Do you think there should be a fourth and fifth film?
