High School Musical 3 Rehersals Start Next Week

Rehearsals for High School Musical 3: Senior Year will begin next week, about a month before filming starts on April 21.

There is no word on who will play any of the new characters at this point. From what we've heard, Ali Lohan is not a likely choice for Tiara, but Selena Gomez is. The other two characters of Jimmy and Donny will most likely be played by relative unknowns.

In addition, choreographer Chuckie Klaypow claims that Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu are the most naturally-gifted dancers. The cast is currently in the middle of a five-week dance rehearsal period (for the the second film they had three weeks and for the first they had only ten days!).

Says Klaypow, "we all raised the bar for 'HSM2', now we need to go back to that iconic, basic movement that made the first move so great."

Hmm... iconic? That's not a word we'd use. And we also wouldn't claim that the dancing made the first film so great, but hey, people have their own opinions.
